Punk begun in the seventies as a raucous, underground uprising opposed to common current of music charted by the number or sales. Rock ensambles like Sex Pistols, the Offspring, and Pere Ubu helped bring punk music back in the mid-1990's. This time the mesh of lively, simple rock music with rhytmic pop melodies took hold on the MTV. These days, soi-disant punk pop is a key part in the sphere of chart music. 1. blink-182 - Enema of the State
In blink-182's inexhaustible struggle to offend any adults in the vicinity, that record album showed a lady dressed as an enema governess on the booklet. The music inside is teenage and never-to-be-forgotten including the monumental hit song “What's My Age Again.”
2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless
A band from Maryland Good Charlotte with Paul Thomas got into the top 10 of the pop album chart with this set. It's full with tales of university and difficult fathers. The big hit track is “Girls & Boys.”
4. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia
Later declining from their nineties fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day retreated from live performances to mix punk rock's 1st opera. Though the popular punk band was nervous about their fan's reaction to Letterbomb, it turned out to be a UK rock classic climbing several charts and winning a Grammy award for Best Rock Album of two thousand and four.
